Project Management Cheat SheetProject Management Cheat Sheet – The following document outlines the steps and expectations of ITS Project Managers at LMU. If you view this document electronically, you will be able to link to the resources that you need to complete the necessary Project Management steps.
TemplatesProject Sizing Spreadsheet – After a Project has been approved through the Project Request System, the Project Manager should work with the appropriate people on the project team to "size" the project. This spreadsheet will take inputs from the user and output what project methodology should be used. If the Project Sizing Spreadsheet outputs a "Large Project Methodology," then the project manager should not use abridged templates. If the Project Sizing Spreadsheet outputs a "Small Project Methodology" or "Medium Project Methodology", then the project manager may use the abridged templates.
Full Project Initiation Form – Once a project has been approved and has been sized (from the Project Sizing Spreadsheet) as a "Large Project Methodology" project, use this form to help you determine who will be on the project, the roles different team members will fulfill, and how you plan to execute communication within the team and outside of the team.
Abridged Project Initiation Form – Once a project has been approved and has been sized (from the Project Sizing Spreadsheet) as a "Medium Project Methodology" or "Small Project Methodology" project, use this form to help you determine who will be ont he project, the roles different team members will fulfill, and how you plan to execute communication within the team and outside of the team.
Full Kickoff Meeting Agenda Template – Once the initiation plan has been completed and the Project Baseline has been saved (the Work Breakdown Structure from the Initiation Plans have been converted into a Microsoft Project Plan), this Meeting Agenda Template can be used for the Kickoff meeting. This template should be used if the project has been assigned the "Large Project Methodology".

Project Management Change Order Form - Any change that will cause impact to the budget or the schedule of the project should be requested by using this form.
Status Reporting Template - Install this .dot file into your Microsoft Word Template directory. At the reporting period that you have established in your project initiation plan, either send out a status report based on this template or, if the end of the reporting period coincides with a status meeting, use this document as the basis for the meeting.
