Ricoh Fleet Transitioning to ITS Management
Effective February 26, 2018, ITS will take over management of all Ricoh printers on campus. LMU’s contract with Ricoh Professional Services expires February 25; after deliberation, the decision was made to partner with a new organization to support the Ricoh fleet, under ITS supervision.
How Will This Work?
ITS Field Services will manage Ricoh printers, with support from LMU’s new printer service and maintenance partner. ITS Help Desk will take support calls related to the Ricoh fleet, and tickets will be routed through Field Services. Please call 310.338.7777 (option 2) to report any issues with the Ricoh (or other) printers.
Please note: calls that used to go to a Ricoh technician will be forwarded to the ITS Help Desk.
What About Billing?
Campus Business Services will continue managing departmental billing and invoice processing; ITS is currently working with Campus Business Services to finalize the details of this arrangement.
Are We Keeping Ricoh Machines?
Yes. As of now, there are no plans to move away from Ricoh hardware.
How Will This Affect the Law School?
This does not change support for Law School printers in any way.
