Benefits for Students

Students get multiple ways to experience learning material because Panorama converts digital content into their preferred format. Panorama lets students:

  • Adjust fonts, text size, and color contrast
  • Convert text to read-aloud audio
  • Use distraction-free features for focused reading
  • Leverage visual, auditory, and cognitive preferences
Panorama Pilot Program
LMU is running a pilot of Panorama to help faculty improve accessibility issues in their Brightspace courses. Faculty are invited to help evaluate Panorama by requesting to enable it in one of your courses. Faculty participants will make reasonable improvements and provide feedback to ITS about the teaching and learning experience while using Panorama.

Commitment to Accessibility

LMU is committed to providing inclusive environments and equitable learning experiences to everyone. As part of the mission to support a spectrum of learning needs, instructors are encouraged to ensure that their digital content meets accessibility standards and offers universally accommodating options.

To assist instructors in the process of remediating digital content, LMU is offering Panorama. Its automated features can give instructors tools such as real-time reports about their course's accessibility level, plus ways they can start making improvements. Likewise, Panorama can give students choices about how they want to receive a course's content.
