ITS Project Management & Change Management Offices
Technology plays a vital role in supporting teaching, learning, research, and service at LMU. Whether you are exploring an idea or implementing a solution, our teams help move initiatives from concept to successful adoption.
Technology Project Requests
When a technology initiative requires a new system or changes to an existing one, it enters the Technology Project Request process.
LMU’s Technology Project Request process, governed by the University Technology Council (UTC), ensures that all technology initiatives are aligned, reviewed, and supported appropriately.
What is a Project?
- Implementation of a new system or an upgrade/expansion of an existing system. NOTE: UTC-funded or self-funded technology projects must be approved through this process.
Submit a Project Request
- Download and complete the Project Business Case, then submit the New Project Request.

Project and Change Management Resources
Our Process
We help ensure that technology initiatives are delivered effectively and adopted and sustained across the LMU community.
By bringing together project management and change management, we support both:
- The work to implement solutions
- The people impacted by change
How We Support & Our Process
We support initiatives through a structured, end-to-end approach that helps move ideas into successful outcomes across the university. Project management and change management work together throughout the process to support both the work and the people impacted.
Who We Are
The ITS Project Management Office (PMO) and Change Management Office (CMO) work together to deliver technology initiatives that are both well-executed and successfully adopted.
- The PMO focuses on planning, coordination, and delivery, ensuring projects are clearly defined, well-managed, and aligned with university priorities.
- The CMO focuses on the people side of change, preparing and supporting the LMU community as new systems, tools, and processes are introduced.
