Alumni Accounts
LMU
Your Lionmail account will be deactivated two academic terms after your final enrollment date. If you would like to maintain an LMU email address, you can create an alumni account under the domain alumni.lmu.edu. If your Lionmail address is jdoe@lion.lmu.edu, your alumni address will be jdoe@alumni.lmu.edu.
LLS
Your LLS email address will expire two years after graduation. There is an LLS alumni email forwarding service; however, it is not tied to your LLS account; it is a completely new email address (user@alumni.lls.edu) that provides forwarding only:
Navigate to https://www.lls.edu/alumni/benefitsservices/emailforwarding/ and click on the Begin or Update Forwarding link to start the process.
There are two important things to know about alumni accounts:
- This is a forwarding service only. Any email sent to your alumni.lmu.edu account will be forwarded to a personal email account. You cannot log in to an alumni account. Replies you send will come from your personal email address, not the alumni account. These accounts exist primarily to help you maintain contact with the LMU community.
- This is completely separate from the Lionmail account you used during your tenure at LMU.
This is a great way to keep in touch with the university and receive news and updates!
To create or change your forwarding address, please follow these instructions:
- Navigate to https://alumni.lmu.edu/
- Click on Resources and Benefits on the upper menu and then Perks and Discounts
- Click on the Email Forwarding drop-down
- If you haven't logged in before, click on First Time Login (next to the Login button); otherwise, log in with your username/password (or use the reset options next to those boxes).
- After you log in, click on the Online Community drop-down on the left
- Click on My Profile
- Scroll down to the Email Forwarding section and click on Edit
- Change the forwarding email address at the bottom and then click the Save button.
