Adobe Photoshop Generative AI Adobe recently released their generative fill tool in Photoshop.

NOTE: The Adobe Photoshop with generative fill is not available in LMU computer labs. Following the official release of this feature into the retail version of Photoshop, ITS will work with stakeholders to update lab computers as needed.

Kahoot! Game-based learning platform. A new AI Question generator is available through paid accounts. Available to all educators, at no additional cost. Free quizzes include 10 participants or less.
Microsoft Copilot Microsoft Copilot is a web-based service that allows users to generate content by prompting the AI model. This gives you ChatGPT 4 technology but in a secure way, meaning your information is not being used by Microsoft in this model. You will note that there is a green “protected” label at the top of screen when you are properly logged in. Available to all faculty, staff, and students, at no additional cost, through LMU Microsoft License. Learn more here.
Otter.ai Otter.ai provides students with real-time captions and notes for in-person and virtual classes or meetings. Otter.ai records audio and automatically takes notes in real time, so that users can focus on the discussion. Otter.ai is available to students with note taking accommodations through LMU’s Disability Support Services office or LLS’ Disability Accommodations Office. Available to LMU and LLS students with note taking accommodations on file with DSS or LLS.
Peerceptiv Facilitates critical thinking and collaboration. Peerceptiv uses AI for improving accuracy in grading. Peerceptiv is planning to release AI features to help build assignment rubrics. Available to all faculty, at no additional cost, to integrate with Brightspace upon request. Check with the ITS Instructional Technology team.
Poll Everywhere Software for live online polling, surveys, Q&As, quizzes, word clouds, and more. Add-in integrations with AI are available. Available to all faculty, at no additional cost. Not integrated with Brightspace yet. Check with the ITS Instructional Technology team.
Respondus Software that offers a Lockdown Browser, Monitoring and Live Proctoring for helping instructors proctor exams online. Monitoring uses AI for face detection. Available to all faculty, at no additional cost, to integrate with Brightspace. Check with the ITS Instructional Technology team.
Tableau Tableau is a visual analytics platform transforming the way we use data to solve problems—empowering people and organizations to make the most of their data. Available to all faculty, staff, and students, at no additional cost.
Talend Talend helps reduce the complexities of machine learning (ML) by providing a comprehensive ecosystem of user-friendly, self-service tools and technologies that seamlessly integrate ML into your big data platform. With a lower skills barrier—no need for programmers proficient in complex R, Python, or Java—organizations get to data insights faster. At a lower cost.
Turnitin Turnitin offers three sets of tools to uphold academic integrity and empower students to do their best, original work. These include the Similarity report, which scans student work for plagiarism, highlighting areas that match web-based sources; the AI Detector, which uses generative AI to produce a percentage of the document that AI writing tools, such as ChatGPT, may have generated; and the Feedback Studio, which includes a full suite of tools for providing in-text and overall feedback on student submissions. Zoom AI Companion Zoom AI Companion empowers you to increase productivity, improve team effectiveness and enhance your skills. This list is for informational purposes only; these tools are not supported or endorsed by LMU or ITS. Availability of these tools are subject to change. There are advantages and disadvantages to using AI technologies and decisions surrounding if and when to use AI technologies will be made by departments and faculty for academic use cases and administrative leadership for staff use cases unless a significant security or privacy risk has been identified.

  • The generative model tools listed below generate conversational and formal written text using artificial intelligence based on question/prompt entered by users. The art and science of prompt writing heavily influences the accuracy and usability of responses generated by the LLM engine. (Refer to the training resources section for more information on prompt writing)

    GitHub Copilot was created by GitHub, OpenAI, and Microsoft and is trained on the languages that appear in public repositories.

    GitHub Copilot is available as an extension in Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Vim, Neovim, the JetBrains suite of IDEs, and Azure Data Studio.

    No cost to use for verified students, teachers, and maintainers of popular open source projects.
