Web Conferencing

 

To access Zoom, log in to MyLMU and select "Web Conferencing (Zoom)" from the Systems Logins menu. If you don't have an account, one will be automatically created for you.

What Is Zoom?

Zoom is a cloud-based technology offering a full spectrum of conferencing tools to help increase productivity. It features breakout sessions that enable you to split session participants into groups for training webinars or online classes, and gives meeting organizers full control of meetings, allowing them to mute microphones and control presentation access. Attendees can virtually raise their hands, allowing the session leader/instructor greater control over the collaborative classroom setting by ensuring thoughts and opinions are shared in turn. Zoom also includes a chat utility that can be used to communicate directly with the session leader/instructor or with other attendees.

NOTE: do not create an account through the main Zoom site (https://zoom.us/). In order to take advantage of LMU's Zoom liscence, you must creae your account through MyLMU

Accessing Zoom

If you don't have a Zoom account, log in to MyLMU and select "Web Conferencing (Zoom)" from the System Logins menu. An account will be automatically created for you. If you already have an account, you can access Zoom by visiting https://lmula.zoom.us/.

Zoom will automatically download the first time you launch a meeting. You can use the chat function on the browser-based version or download the application via your account. If you use the mobile version of Zoom, sign in using the SSO option and enter LMULA as the domain.
